Windows 2000 Server Error Message

By pfrench ·
Both our servers are running Windows 2000 Server. The following error message has gradually grown in frequency on the machines that have access to our secondary server: "An error occurred while reconnecting T: to \\Usacdr001\
Microsoft Windows Network: The local device name is already in use.
This connection has not been restored."

The message occurs when we boot our PCs and the drive frequently has to be remapped in order to access it. I often have to first attempt to map the drive, with failure, close out of windows explorer, open it again, click on the drive, and then it will be available. Clicking out of windows explorer without the unsuccessful mapping attempt and then going back in will still leave the drive inaccessable.

Please help.
