Windows 2000 Server Reads the floopy

By dicksanm ·
My Windows 2000 server is a domain controller and is running IIS 5. It is also running backup(built in one that is). From time to time the server will read the floppy drive and it is very enoying. I don't have office installed so that should rule out the illusive "Findfast" If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

Windows 2000 Server Reads the floopy

From time to time when the server will read the floppy and you find it "enoying" is that something between enjoying and annoying? Maybe that's a good thing.

Are you running an antivirus application which checks the floppy at start-up? , or is there a scheduled service started?

What happens when you take out the floppy? Wouldn't that solve the problem.

The server will read the drive whether or not there is a floppy in the drive. It does it when the server is already up and running and it will do it in approx five minute intervals. It will read for a few seconds and stop. Thanks for the help
