After setting a static ip address on your server you need to do the following

First you need to install the DHCP Service
- add/remove programs / windows components / networking services

Next you need to authorize your server
- right click your server / authorize

Now you need to create a scope
- Right click server / new / scope
- the new scope wizzard fires off
- answer the questions - for a starting address i recommend and an ending address of
- i would set your server's ip address to
- make sure you answer yes to activating the scope

now your all set

good luck
