Windows 2000 Server & Windows XP Pro

I currently Lab testing full functionality of XP with windows 2000 server. I have this error when its time to change password after changing password i get the error “you do not have permission to change your password. nothing has changed from prior configurations for windows 2000 pro. i wonder what the problem copuld be.
