Windows 2000 Service Packs

By BeerMan97 ·
During the installation of Windows 2000 service packs, the program extracts some files to a directory on the local drive. Can these files be deleted after the service pack is installed? I think the path is c:\temp\ somewhere in there. Any ideas?

Yes the files extracted during the installation of SP can be deleted after it is completed. The only problem I had with SP2 was, I had to reboot my PC and run the update again on all my 2000 PCs(both servers and Pros). The first time update would not go through even though the PC was just power on or on a fresh reboot. Can't figure this out neither.

Cool. We've got a user who is hurting for disk space and every thing counts. Thanks!
