Windows 2000 Terminal Services

By j.collins ·
We would like to run an application via Windows 2000 Terminal Services that uses a USB Web Cam and a USB signature pad connected to the remote client workstation. Initial testing indicates that these devices are not supported. Does anyone have any ideas, experience or suggestions on how to make these devices work with Terminal Services or if it would make any difference if we used serial devices?

Windows 2000 Terminal Services

The TS client included with Win2K server does not give you the opportunity to access (or interact with) any local resources other than the keyboard and mouse.

The TS client included with WinXP Pro (also known as Remote Desktop) does allow the option of automatically connecting with local disk drives, printers, and serial ports when logged on to a TS session. There is still no guarentee that the devices you want to use will work correctly
