Windows 2000 Trust Problem

by surrealx . Updated 24 years, 5 months ago

I have an NT (member) Server, and a Windows 2000 Server (not DC). Both machines are set up to be part of the same domain. However both machines are logged on using their local Administrator account, instead of onto the domain. Both Administrator accounts have the same password. The NT box can access shares on the 2k box fine. However when the 2k server tries to access the NT server, it says that the machine is not accessible with “The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed” error message. The 2k Server can see shares on the domain without any error. I have put the 2k Server in the Domain Admins group for the domain and also enabled that it be trusted for delegation. Can anybody tell me how I can get the 2k server to access shares on the NT Server without logging either of them onto the Domain.
