Windows 2000?? Users

By glenn.thompson ·
I have recently upgraded an NT4 stand alone server to Windows 2000 advanced server. The problem I am having is that I can no longer see the domain users in any of the new administration windows.

Can anybody tell me how I can import the users into the Win2K server without making my PC a BDC.

win2k no longer uses PDC or BDC you only have member servers & Domain controllers, if you wish to make your server a domain controller run dcpromo.exe and follow the wizard.

If you are trying to manage the Domain from this server just copy over the user manager and server manager utilities and related files from an nt server. To manage the local accounts use the computer management and to manage the domain use the old managers.
