Windows 2000 vs. Windows NT on Server

by r_pawlicki . Updated 24 years, 10 months ago

We are a relatively unsophisticated end-user of technology with a need to implement LANs at remote locations to our corporate LAN over a frame relay network. We are faced with two proposals, one recommending Windows 2000 on the servers and the other recommending Windows NT. We also plan to use Exchange for e-mail and Outlook at the desktop. We do not do Web Hosting.

Should we go with Windows 2000 or NT and why? Our primary objectives are stability and ease of support. What’s the generalexperience with each out there for what we want to do?

Thanx!
