Windows 2000 weird installation

By CORNIE ·
After installing 2000 I found I had no mouse.Manuevering on the keyboard I installed an intellimouse driver and all was well. Then I had to install 2000 again on a different computer and had the same results. No mouse.Again had to add the driver.Same cd used in each case.Could it be a bad cdmor an hcl issue.?

I would say try a different CDrom. Ive done a few 2000 installs and had no mouse problems at all. I did however have to install the intellemouse drivers to get the wheel to work.

I would have to agree with answer above, try another CD. I too had to install the drivers for my wheel to work in 2K but never had a problem with the mouse not working on any machine I have ever installed 2K on.Its possible that it could be a HCL problem but hightly unlikely, mice are pretty generic.
