Windows 7 and the Plotter

By Norm_Nav ·
I recently intorduced our first Windows 7 (professional) workstation to our enterprize, it needs to print to an HP Designjet 1055cm plotter, however when I try to load the drivers from the MFG disk I get an error suggesting that Windows 7 won't allow me to load NT4 drivers. I've tried a fix involving using the CCM to change the system to not use this rule, to no avail. Any suggestion?

No W7 drivers on the HP web site?

How about Vista drivers? Those usually work with W7.

You may have to create a virtual NT or XP machine as a print server if those are the only drivers you can get.

New Server Installed

I'm thinking that I may have to load the driver for this plotter on a Newly installed AD/Application server that was installed as part of this upgrade. I'm just entirely too new to Windows 7, we avoided it as long as possible.
