Windows 7 C drive
Lockedby clarkd038 · about 13 years, 3 months ago
I have a few users that cannot save any items directly to their C: drive. It states the user doesn’t have the appropriate privelages. I have given the user local admin rights, and also had her take ownership of the folder/ subfolders. This still will not let her save items in the C:\
I have done these tasks on another computer and it worked for that user. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Does it save if you use “Admin”?
by peconet tietokoneet · about 13 years, 3 months ago
In reply to Windows 7 C drive
If so then make another “User” account and then delete the old one, then do a test.
Hope this is of help to you.

Just a question or two here
by oh smeg · about 13 years, 3 months ago
In reply to Windows 7 C drive
Where on the network is the computer trying to save?
And how was this set to save to the remote Location?
Your answer will be in that setting to the remote location be it in a Group Policy or Active Directory as to why this is happening. 😉

Check the security settings

On the Local C:\
Make it so that all users have write access to the hard drive regardless of the local group they’re in.
Hope it helps.

Have you learned nothing

From discussions of God?
Parade to me again your proclamation about the understanding of another and I will rip you another ass hole. You will be debilitated to the point where you cannot raise a thumb up or down.

You seem to also, other than jump to conclusions, not read full posts…
Either that, or you ignore them.

Explain which proclamation about the understanding of another seemed to have passed you as questionable.
But parading, as you’ve noted, was directed to, not only you, but all our friends here at TR!

Of 6/21/2010, 8:20 PM, as I read presented by my browser to me.
Seems clear enough to me that, that is what you are saying to God and everyone, including TR, of which, I am a member in (so far) good standing.
How stand you?

In this case, and as the ‘tree’ suggests, my comment was toward patb071, but I admire your centralism.
Alternatively, I could be an ‘Emo Kid’ who no-one understands. But I doubt it.I stand, however, that you may indeed take any of my comments as personally as you wish.
It would be my pleasure.

In my experience of your postings, that you may dispense with the emoticons, as far as I am concerned. I take them as a crutch for the lame and linguistic halt.
I have yet to avail myself of them. I have, of late, however, availed myself of the three — italics, boldface, underline — to my chagrin. They have become, as I first suspected they might become, addictive, and, curtailing of original and forthright exposition.
These are my matters. I leave you to your own.

And as you’ve pointed out, they tend to grow on one’s self.
So, that being said…😀
