Windows 7 Explorer lockdown issues

By paulswainson ·
Great articals from Greg Shultz regarding reg hacks to modify aspects of Windows 7 explorer, this is great for the home users, it is not so great when trying to lockdown explorer in a school enviroment. I have had to create reg hacks for the nav pane to remove libs, favs & network.

No group policies as yet Server 2008R2 to disable the nav pane from
explorer. I still have not managed to remove the command buttons from explorer and although other gpos disable burn to disk, access the control panel, change
programs or share folder, it still leaves room for kids to mess around. In the event of a policy failing like control panel disable, these buttons will become active!

Im suprised M$ have not yet managed to update windows 7 explorer polices to remove these new features and commands and a lack of policies to control or simply disable the use of libraries. Anyone else managed to disable
this stuff with reg hacks?
