Windows 7 freezes

By tigers7612 ·
I have a client who had me clean install Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit on their new hard drive a few months ago. Everything was going fine but now the OS freezes up when the system sits idle for more than 10 minutes. I browsed Microsoft forums and found that their arequite a few others with similar problems. I have tried every suggestion from those forums including changeing all the power setting options, shutting off the power down monitor and manually shutting dispay off. Nothing seems to work. I have looked through the event logs everytime and nothing appears wrong but system still freezes.
Any thoughts I could try?

Faulty RAM?

Sometimes that can be the issue. Before changing it, do some tests on the RAM in your computer.

Here is a link: http://hcidesign.com/memtest/

I hope this helps.

Not sure but will test Ram. The ram sticks are brand new, installed with the new hard drive and OS.

Tested Memory, and it seems fine. The system finally stopped starting up so I did a clean install. I thought everything was fine but the first test I did was let the system sleep and it seems it still won't wake up. Not sure where to go from here. There is nothing on the system.
