Windows 7 Pro and HP plotter won't load

By Norm_Nav ·
When I try to load the dirvers for an HP Designjet 1055 cm on a Newly installed Windows 7 Pro machine, I am getting a message that the machine cannot load NT4 drivers. I have gone to the root console and turned off (selected ignore) the filter that supposedly generates this message, none the less the message still comes up and I am unable to install the printer. We are NEW to Windows 7. The HP site does not seem to have any drivers specific to Windows 7

Women Drivers and Women Computer Consultants act exactly the same. :^0 :^0

Sorry i didn't really mean that it's just something left over from something last night. Apparently Taliban Prisoners in Afghanistan are refusing to allow Women to drive them or fly them to Jails as they are Way too Dangerous.

The Devil Made me do it.

Driver HP 1055CM

by Norm_Nav In reply to What driver are you attem ...

I was attempting to use the original CD that came with the printer, obviously not a Windows 7 driver. I have downloaded the HPInstant Printing Utility v3_5. I'll try that first, then we shall see what we shall see.

Even if you bought the printer after 7 was released

It's always better to use the newest drivers. So It's much better to download them from the Makers Web Site when they are needed.

That way any improvements or 64 Bit Drivers are always the newest available.
