Windows 7 Profile Help

By jeffdixon ·
We are migrating to individual user profiles in the coming months. Our problem is that when each user logs into their machine for the first time, they have to activate microsoft office 2010 and install some programs needed to run Renaissance Place. I am the admin and have already installed those programs along with activating office. Is there anyway to, for lack of better words "blanket install/activate" these programs for any user that logs into the computer?

The "default" user

by Jasonjb1222 In reply to Windows 7 Profile Help

The "default" user (hidden) whihc is on the system will copy itself to all new users for a baseline.
Once you have created your base system, activated your software, configured your printers, etc. you can copy "your profile" on top of the default profile.
Most software which is activated per user will leave a trace in the application data. By overwriting this, you should be able to accomplish exactly what it is you are trying to do.
