Windows 7 to replace Vista

By CG IT ·
From the Washington Post article, it seems that Windows Vista will be a short lived O/S.

Read the full article here:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/04/06/AR2008040600313.html

However, I've read other articles on Windows 7 and it appears that what 7 does that Vista doesn't is seperate out the Windows Media Player and Internet Explorer from the core processes thus meeting the EU and American anti-trust lawsuits settlements.

Many of the articles about Windows Vista complain about it's performance or it's lack of programmer friendliness, thus with inuendo inply that Vista is a crappy O/S Windows 7 will fix. But I've yet to read where any of the reviewer make the tie between the EU and American anti-trust lawsuits settlements as the possible reason why Windows 7 will be released years earlier than anticipated.
