Windows 7 Ultimate and "Windows Media Player"

By rloganjr ·
Why dosen't Microsoft make Windows Media Player so that it will contain all codecs and any programs needed to do so?
That would make it King of the road for all media
Thanks,
Richard

VLC player is the King of the Media Players
