Windows 7 Ultimate ReadyBoost???

by cyberghost_1 . Updated 15 years, 9 months ago

My Q: is how exactly does ReadyBoost work in increasing system performance?? I have a Compaq Netbook running Windows 7 Ultimate, Intel Atom N270 1.60GHz and 1GB DDR2-800 RAM. I manually set the Virtual Memory to: 2048MB instead of letting Windows manage Virtual Memory… Now, I have a 4GB USB Drive and I am using it exclusively for ReadyBoost. Does it matter that I manually set the amount of Virtual Memory for my sistem for C: to 2048MB?? Will ReadyBoost still increase performance with my 4GB USB Drive?? How exactly does this work?? I would appreciate the info and some insight with this please…Thx…
