Windows 7 Ultimate

By Bapster ·
Windows Genuine Advantage (installed) now it states Windows copy is not Valid. Can a system restore fix this....how to stop WGA from re-installing (I understand MS hides this in "Critical Updates" It is one of those "STUDENT" versions that was practically given away at campus bookstores back during the rollout of Win7. If not more reason to move to LINUX!

you paid for the software, you are therefore entitled to support from Microsoft, so contact them, depending on how you feel like it. there contact details are here: http://support.microsoft.com/contactus/cu_sc_more_master?ws=mscom#tab1

This seems to be a common issue

So M$ have the following Forum Help to attempt to solve it.

http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/genuinewindows7/threads

Doesn't matter what you have unless it's a Beta or RC Version of 7 if you paid for it it should work. Simple as that.

But if this is any help in the past I have purchased M$ Action Packs and all of the software that I have installed from these insists that it's not Genuine after about 12 months or so. M$ has always provided a work around but it is annoying. ;0
