Windows 7 & XP dual boot crisis

by pat . Updated 16 years, 8 months ago

Dell T3400, two 80GB hdd’s. Wiindows 7 RC installed on SATA0 ok. Then installed XP 64-bit to SATA1 drive but dual boot didin’t work due to /NTLDR missing. So I worked with W7 for two months with few problems other than ACAD and Excel ocassionally would hang the OS. I decided to give dual boot another try.

So today I booted from XP SP3 CD and reinstalled XP 32 bit on SATA1 drive. After installation “no operating system installed” error. Removed SATA1 from system and now will not boot Windows 7 either. I’m unfamiliar with W7, what can I do to get W7 to boot? Lots of programs and data installed on work PC, very important I get it back up by Monday. Sweating, worried.
