windows 95 password

after the bios check(i can get into bios) and the “starting windows 95” screen a password is required. i need to disable this function. i can open windows in “safe mode”. what and where do i need to edit to resolve this problem. i recived this machine after a death in the family. the computer is an old IBM Aptiva, with win95 oem.
