Windows 95 Shutdown

How do I prevent Windows 95 from periodically not shutdown and hanging at the “Windows is shutting down” screen forcing a reboot or a shutdown of power. Subsequently the software must perform a repair on bootup because Windows was not shut down properly!?!?!?!?
