Have you tried running Windows 98 System file checker, just to see if there are any currpted files ?
You can get to that by going to Start - Programs - Access's - System tools - system information then under the tools menu go to system file checker.

hmm, what apps are running when this occurs? any apps that are constantly running... do u have a anti-virus being loaded at startup... cthis could be a wide range of issues.. some things to try... run scandisk -- and defrag... then run regclean, can be downloaded from www.download.com..

next right click on the clock and go into taskabar properties... try unchecking some options and then monitor.. if u do have antivirus prigram loading at startup for the **** of it just diable from beginning and see if that helps out...

alos see if u can check memor usage when the freezing occurs

look at system monitor.. can be optained from 98 cd power tools
