Windows 98 installation Problem

I am currently trying to install Windows 98 on a Toshiba Notebook computer, but the following error message shows up at 12% of the third phase of installation:

Application Error

SUWIN caused a General Protection Fault in module KRNL386.EXE at 0001:4DE7

What could be wrong? Please assist.
