Windows 98 Lock UP

By Tanya O'Brien ·
I have a new motherboard and a new microprocessor (AMD-K6). When I try to open My Canon Multi Pass Print Server Windows 98 Locks up. I have already reinstalled the printe drivers and reinstalled Windows 98 and that has not solved my problem. Whatelese can I try to solve my problem?

i've noticed that printers, Multi-pass, etc. can sit on shelves for a while and you know they were mfg earlier than when the store got them. So, go to Canon's website and get the latest drivers for your multipass and/or browse the FAQs on their website and look for similar problems. Most of the time it's due to outdated drivers. As always, before you install anything, disble all programs working in background (antivirus etc.).

I don't intend to be a smart *** but I assume that the motherboard jumpers are set correctly for the processor. I have had problems with the Canons before and if your system is running perfectly without it, I would delete all the Canon software andget the latest drivers for the device from their website and install those before I tried it again.
