Windows 98 Logon Screen

by scotth . Updated 25 years, 2 months ago

How can I get rid of the Windows Logon Screen on Windows 98SE? It’s not a network logon but the Windows logon. I never had it before; then I set up Internet connection sharing and a peer to peer network at home. I have since dismantled the network.I pulled out the NIC, removed the ICS, removed all user profiles and took out all protocols except dial up adapter and tcp/ip (for the internet). I was even told to delete all .pwl files, reboot and when the logon screen comes up to hit enter with a blank password. But that didn’t work either. Any thoughts would be appreciated, it’s driving my wife nuts. Thanks
