windows 98 user accounts lock up in wind

why is it when my users walk away from their windows 98 computers that their user account locks up and they lose their connection to the windows 2000 domain? we have just converted the bdc for that site to a windows 2000 dc. user accounts sparadically lock up. some user accounts get locked up 2 to 5 times a day.
