I have 3 Pentum 100 systems the only difference is the mem 16,24 and 32 ine each sys. The issue is on a clean load the two with low mem will not get on a network, They can see them selfs on the network and one of there computer names show up, have checked the drivers one has a new nic, it is peer to peer and uses netbeui, the same sys had win98st and worked fine. Can any one shed some light?

You need to also make sure that the workgroup name is the same on all three computers. All three net MS NetBEUI. And under the TCP/IP protocol, the ip addresses and subnet masks should be within the same network as well:

      computer 1 = 192.168.1.1 / 255.255.255.0
      computer 2 = 192.168.1.2 / 255.255.255.0
      computer 3 = 192.168.1.3 / 255.255.255.0
      computer x = 192.168.1.x / 255.255.255.0

And lastly, make sure “file and printer sharing” in enabled and that you have something (a folder or printer) “shared” on each computer (if you want to see it active in Network Neighborhood).

      Hi

If the IP addesses are configured correctly, and sharing is set-up properly, you should check your NIC in Device Manager. Try updating the NIC drivers or reinstalling them.

      Good luck
