WINDOWS AND APPLE ON SAME NETWORK

By meltvn ·
Hi
I have an Apple Macintosh computer connected to my network and would like to share the files between the Windows 98 & the Apple computer. It is a small Windows workgroup network
What do I have to do?
Thanks
Melt

Make sure that the Mac and the PC have a common network protocol installed (such as AppleTalk, or better yet, TCP/IP). If you're going to use TCP/IP, assign the Mac & PC addresses in the same subnet, i.e.: Mac IP 192.168.0.1, and PC IP 192.168.0.2,both with subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. Enable File & Printer Sharing on the Windows machine.

Good luck,
Dave
