    Windows cannot find ‘IO.pif’.

    Locked

    by billy.foley ·

    Hi,
When trying to map a network share for a specific user I receive the following error.

“Windows cannot find ‘IO.pif’. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search.”

I can access the drive if I put in the path in Start->Run

    Any ideas?

      SOLUTION:
1 Go to Start>Run> on Run, type Regedit >Enter
2.On the Registry Window, press ?Ctrl + f?.
3.Fill this word to the box ?IO.pif?
4.This file created by a trojanworm, delete this entire file you can search.
5.Do the search for about 6 times, again and again.
6.Just make sure there is no file left to your registry.
      7.Restart your computer.
