Windows Default Mail window

By HoosYrBaby ·
When I boot my computer (XP) after recently installing a new Norton Anti-Virus, I receive the following window from Microsoft: "Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fullfil the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client." I Have Outlook already, how can I get rid of this window. If I click "ok" it takes me to my mail.

Hi

I think you can fix this by opening Outlook, then go to toos/options/other and place a tick in the "Make Outlook the default....."

Good luck
Gary

Hi Gary, clicked on tools, options, but there is no "other". If I go to my mail account it says: mail.comcast.net. That is my IP. also--If I go to servers it says:
incoming mail server POP3
Incoming mail POP3 mail comcast.net
Outgoing mail SMTP smtp.comcast.net
I don't know where to change it. Such a novice I am....

Run it again and tick the box to set it as the default.

That is when you click on Outlook and it asks whether it should be the default.
