Windows does not support 9600 baud

By wlewis ·
Recently upgraded a desktop machine that uses Ice Ten to do a serial connection to a unix server. I have the current version of Ice ten and to date it has worked well. When trying on the new XP box I get an error "Windows does not support 9600 baud". Ice ten is configured to communicate at 9600 baud but changing it gets the same message with a different baud rate. J River, the Ice Ten manufacturer shrugged their sholders. Any thoughts?

Hi,
The baud rate of the XP port. Click on START then right click on MY COMPUTER select PROPERTIES - HARDWARE - DEVICE MANAGER - PORTS - right click COMx select PROPERTIES - PORT SETTINGS. You can change them here.
