      That surely is a problem.

I’d replace the server on which it runs by another one so your company network can go on as usual, and then on an isolated machine see if it’s a setting or a software or a hardware issue. One of the two brute-force methods (reinstall the OS or use different hardware) should surely work.

Right-click on the network adapter and select Properties. Right-click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and choose Properties. Click the Advanced button and go to the DNS tab. On the DNS tab, click the Add button, provide the IP address of your DNS server and click OK.

If your Domain Controller (DC) is experiencing issues connecting to the network adapter, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow:

Physical Connection: Ensure that the network cable is properly connected to both the network adapter on the Domain Controller and the network switch or router. Check for any physical damages to the cable or ports.

Device Manager Check: Open Device Manager on the Domain Controller and verify the status of the network adapter. Look for any warning signs (yellow exclamation marks) or error messages that indicate issues with the network adapter driver.

Network Adapter Settings: Check the network adapter settings in the Control Panel or Settings app. Make sure the adapter is configured to obtain IP settings automatically (if using DHCP) or that the static IP settings are correct if configured manually.

Driver Update: If there are issues with the network adapter driver, try updating it. Go to the manufacturer’s website or use Device Manager to search for the latest driver updates. Install them if available.

Network Troubleshooter: Use built-in network troubleshooters in Windows. Right-click on the network icon in the taskbar, select “Troubleshoot problems,” and follow the prompts to diagnose and resolve network adapter issues.

Restart Network Services: Sometimes, restarting network-related services can help. Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run commands like ipconfig /release, ipconfig /renew, and netsh winsock reset to reset network configurations.

Hardware Check: If possible, test the network adapter on another device or test another adapter on the Domain Controller to determine if the issue lies with the hardware itself.

Check Event Viewer: Look for any relevant error messages or logs in the Event Viewer that might provide more details about the network adapter issue.

If none of these steps resolve the problem, it might be beneficial to contact your network administrator or IT support for further assistance, especially if the issue involves complex network configurations or permissions on the Domain Controller.

Domain controller can not connect network adapter

indicates that your computer is unable to communicate with the domain controller, which is the central computer in an Active Directory domain that manages user accounts, security policies, and other network resources. This error can prevent you from logging in to your domain account or accessing domain resources.

There are several possible causes for this error, including:

Incorrect DNS settings: Your computer may not be configured to use the correct DNS servers to resolve the domain controller’s name.
Wrong IP address: Your computer may have an incorrect IP address that prevents it from communicating with the domain controller.
DNS misconfiguration on the domain controller: The DNS configuration on the domain controller may be incorrect, preventing your computer from finding it.
Blocked ports: Firewall rules on either your computer or the domain controller may be blocking the ports that are used for domain communication.
To troubleshoot this error, you can try the following steps:

Verify DNS settings: Check your computer’s DNS settings to make sure that they are correct. You can do this by opening the Network and Sharing Center, clicking on “Change adapter settings,” selecting your network adapter, clicking on “Properties,” double-clicking on “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4),” and then clicking on the “DNS” tab. Make sure that the “Preferred DNS server” and “Alternate DNS server” addresses are correct.

Verify IP address: Check your computer’s IP address to make sure that it is correct. You can do this by opening a command prompt window and typing “ipconfig /all”. Look for the IPv4 address for your network adapter. If the IP address is incorrect, you may need to manually configure it.

Check DNS configuration on the domain controller: If you have access to the domain controller, you can check its DNS configuration to make sure that it is correct. You can do this by using the DNS Manager tool.

Check firewall rules: Check your computer’s firewall rules to make sure that they are not blocking the ports that are used for domain communication. The ports that are used for domain communication are TCP 389 (for LDAP) and TCP 3268 (for Global Catalog). You can also check the firewall rules on the domain controller to make sure that they are not blocking these ports.

If you have tried all of these steps and you are still unable to resolve the error, you may need to contact your net
