Windows Explorer crashes

by jf555 . Updated 19 years, 6 months ago

My client has a Windows XP Home edition fully upto date with all Microsoft patches except I.E.7. Computer boots fine then after 1-3 minutes, it freezes, the screen goes blank and then the desktop reloads with most of the icons in the lower right corner by the clock, missing. We also get a dialog window that Windows Explorer caused an error, the offending file is ntdll.dll. There are no spyware, viruses or any orther such undesirables. Please help in resolving this problem since it is really annoying and leads to unproductivity, thanks,

Jeff
