Windows Explorer File Menu

by mikelgriggs . Updated 25 years, 6 months ago

I had an interesting question asked by a user the other day, concerning the Windows Explorer File Menu. The user wanted to know how to add and remove programs from the File>New menu options group (the one where you create new folders, shortcuts, text docs, etc.). It seems that he/she has so many installed programs which have added themselves to this list that it takes alot of time for the menu to expand itself when they go to create a new folder. You would think that it would be simular to the Send To feature and have its own folder, but it does not, so I’m guessing that its a registry setting. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
