Windows Firewall

k so i tried enabling my firewall on windows XP because it was turned off for some reason.

i got the “windows firewall settings cannot be displayed…” ” do you want to start the Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing Service (ICS)”

i click yes, then get

“Windows Cannot start the Windows Firewall/Internet Sharing Service”

ive tried so many things from many posts but nothing has worked. at one point i had an error code 2001…

currently my internet isnt working i dont know if that from the firewall or not.

please any help would be very much appreciated.
