windows ini

I downloaded & installed a driver for my system..I think it was for the soundblaster sound card..gameport driver… and now I get a message on boot that the extended memory file was already installed, did not install xms and a blinking cursor, I have tried to boot into windows with no success..keep getting the same message. I have chenged my slave drive to the master & the master to the slave, did a recovery on the slave so I can access the files on the other drive, but I have to re install all the programs to open anything not on the regular OS install,,microsoft office, games,lotus files…etc. how can I get windows to booton the ex-master hard drive ??
