Windows Installer

I’m trying to install 3D Home Architect on my laptop. It gets to “Configuring Installation” then stops with the error “This installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package. C:\WINNT\Downloaded Installations\Broderbund Home Design 5.1.msi”. I know the software works, because I tried it on my other laptop. HELP! Thanks.
