windows installer

Hello everyone,

Everytime I right click Local Disk (c:) or Compact Disk (d:) in My Computer or left click Compact Disk (d) with a data disk in it a windows installer window appears for 5 minutes or so until it eventually finishes and i can continue(or not sometimes.whislt burning a data cd etc.)

Any thoughts would be welcome indeed.

This problem just recently occurred on my 2000 laptop which i’ve had for about a year.
