I am trying to install several programs that use SETUP to run the windows installer. Each application stops mid-stream with an error saying the installation was interrupted.
I installed the latest install wizard from Microsoft. I also deletedthe install shield folder so that the application I am installing would re-create it and that
did not work either. I checked for any *.tmp files and deleted an rebooted to no avail.
Could this be because I have set up internet connection sharing? That is the only thing I can think of that is new. I checked the knowledge base on error-1909/1911 and it suggested that I did not have enough authority to install programs, and to run DCOMCNFG.exe. DCOM requires you to use User Level Securityand I have my network set as Shared.
I am really confused now….HLP!
