Windows Lock Out

By ferris_bewley ·
I am running a win98 pc (clone) and I would like to lock out my machine from the boot (before the menu options.) I want to be able to do this, so that when the f8 key is pressed nothing happens. The senerio I would like to have is this...

I boot the machine....Windows user name and password dialogue box comes up. If I restart the machine, I do not want to be able to bypass any part of the boot. I want it to come up immediately.

I do not want to be able to workaround this.
Is this level of security impossible with windows 98? Would I have to get an upgrade to win200?

I don't think this can be done easily using W98, perhaps another way would be to check the BIOS of your PC and see if Passwords can be entered that prevent boot up from even starting until the correctr password is entered....

You can set a password in the bios to ask for a password before the boot process start.
Or you can use security administrator (http://www.softheap.com/) for $29,-
