WINDOWS LOGON SCREEN

I have a win 98 (not a second edition) configured in such a way that only the windows networking logon screen appears. Here the user name and the password is given for network logon. Offlate besides this screen a windows logon screen has also started to appear. I want to do away with this screen . How do I go about.
