Windows Management Instrument load error

Windows Server 2000
I am getting a load error in the event log for Windows Management Instrument. It is preventing the Exchange server, DNS and a few other services from loading. The error is that the Windows Management Intrument service could not be started with an error code of 100. The other service give this as the reason they can not be started. Can anyone tell me what I might be looking for? Will I need to reinstall some components? Help if you can.
