Windows ME and Peer-to-Peer Networking

By rfornataro ·
We have a small peer-to-peer network in our office that lets about 20 computers share printing services and connection to DSL line. One of the PC's is running Windows ME. This particular PC can share the printer services, but generally has problems using the internet connection. (DNS Error)Rebooting sometimes helps. Is this a software or hardware problem?

I take a guess that it is the software drivers between the communication,WIN ME cannot communicate with the software of DSL,check with ISP to see if you have current software.

depending on the isp, some send a signal down the line and if it finds ics on a ME machine it can disengage the sharing capabilities,i have a similar problem with my home lan, so i cant share the connection.contact your isp to see if they have this system in use.
sorry but thats all i can can think of.
