Windows ME (Hang/Reg Error )

Hi,

I have a problem with my Windows ME. For some strange reason every time I try to run windows ME it hangs on the splash screen saying *** ERROR IN REGISTRY PLEASE RUN REGCLEAN TO FIX THE PROBLEM*** When I run REGCLEAN the computer hangs. I made a very bad mistake when installing windows ME and never nade a boot disk so now the only disk I can use to boot is my old Win98 boot disk. Can anyone help me? is there a program I can use to help me fix the reg without it hanging? is there any where on the net I can download a boot disk for ME? I don’t want to format ny HD as I have lots of information / documents that I don’t want to loose.
