Windows ME replaced with Win 98 SE

Will the BIOS settings on a SYSTEMAX 1.4GHZ (AMD ATHLON) that were originally for ME prevent the clean installation of Windows 98SE? This is a TIGER electronics AMD ATHLON system they refuse to support.

A full reformat was supposedly done before 98SE
installation, to wipe the prior OS, but I am wondering…
