I’ve got a user that requires access to the site below;
http://www.abc.net.au/melbourne/onair/774stream.asx
Problem is when he clicks on it Windows asks for a codec, so i logged in as a local Admin and tried playing it back which worked successfully without the need of downloading a Codec
i decided to add him into the local admin and test it, but still got the message asking for a Codec to be downloaded. I tried another account that sits in the same group as the user and was able to playback the file fine, this computer was using Windows Media 9 so i upgraded the user to 11 to emulate the same environment, but was still able to play without the need of a codec.
Both Computers are Running WinXP Pro
Any reason as to why it would not work under certain accounts.
