Whenever I open or change an audio file, Windows Media Player hangs for about 35 seconds, while displaying the message “Opening media”, then plays that song. This is very annoying. I have an Intel D865GLC motherboard with all the updated drivers, including sound drivers. When playing any song, the sound is good. No problem there.
I don’t like using Winamp because its graphic equaliser doesn’t produce good quality sound. VLC media player’s problem is that it forgets the graphic equaliser settings when changing a media and reverts back to default settings. iTunes wants to change my my files to .aac and can’t play .wma songs.
I want to keep and use WMP11 but I have this problem. Please help!
