Windows Media Player

By moorty ·
This problem occurred for several months in windows media player 7 or whatever is the current version of it is. The old version used to play my .mpg video clip, but it doesn't play it any more. Another .mpg player, a shareware version, does. I wonder if there is anything I can do to make it play?

go to tools options format and make sure mpeg
is checked and that should do it if not try reinstalling windows media player but in most cases this should work. If not let me know and I will try some other suggestions.

Are you still having this problem? Microsoft has released version 7.1. It's about 10MB for download. It won't install on Windows 95 or earlier. Try downloading and installing it, but make sure you choose to install all of the codecs, too. You can also get this by going to Windows Update and upgrading to IE 5.5 and now version 6 is out and works great. MPlyr is a part of the IE install. Good luck.
